Contacts411

A privacy-first contacts app needed a website that explains itself in a few seconds. We built it in Webflow, nine pages, through RADCAT Design.

Who Contacts411 is and why it needed a new website

Contacts411 is an iOS app that keeps your address book up to date. Pick a contact, and the app checks public data sources for a newer phone number, email or work address, then lets you save it with one touch or merge your duplicates. Its promise is privacy: the company says it does not keep your address book, a line it sums up as "data, delivered not stored". Contacts411 came to us in 2021 through RADCAT Design, one of our first agency partners. The ask was a marketing website in Webflow.

The challenge: a privacy promise and a product to explain

The site Contacts411 had before was a single page of text: quality, ease, privacy and a few links. A contacts app asks for something personal, your address book, so the website had to earn trust fast. It needed to show what the app does in a few seconds, prove the privacy promise, explain free and paid plans for consumers and businesses, and send people to the App Store.

How we built the Contacts411 website in Webflow

We built the site in Webflow as nine pages. The home page carries the story: a hero that says what the app does, a three-part "how it works" (integrate, update, connect), a side-by-side of a bare contact card next to one filled with personal and business details, and an "easy as 1, 2, 3" walk-through from download to merge. Pricing, a privacy-first FAQ, a company page and a wish list page, where users vote on the features they want next, round out the site, with the data policy, privacy policy and terms of use alongside. We carried the design's illustrations and color through every page, so the privacy message reads friendly, not technical.

Two phone screens: the Contacts411 home page hero and the FAQ page with its question categories on mobile.

How the site went live

The build moved into Contacts411's own Webflow site on contacts411.com, with the same pages and structure we built. The site kept getting updates through the rest of the year, and the archived site shows it still serving visitors in 2022, from the home page to pricing and the FAQ.

What the project meant for our partnership with RADCAT

Contacts411 was one of the projects that set the pattern for our work with RADCAT Design: RADCAT holds the client relationship, and we build the Webflow site. That pattern carried through years of projects together. Contacts411 has since moved to a new site built by another team, and the version we built lives on in our Webflow workspace.
