We built Gerdau's careers site in Webflow for ThreeSixtyEight in 2023. Three years on it runs on the same build, with 150+ job pages.

Gerdau is a leading global steel producer and, by its own count, one of the largest recyclers in the Americas. In 2023 it set out to replace its recruiting website. ThreeSixtyEight, a creative agency in Baton Rouge, won the redesign and owned the design, the UX and the relationship with Gerdau. For the Webflow build, ThreeSixtyEight brought in Fri3nds as its development team, and from March 2023 we worked inside their process, their weekly syncs and their QC docs as one team.
"He's the CEO of Fri3nds, our partner agency on the recent Gerdau project, and many more to come, I'm sure."
— Kelsey LeBlanc, Senior Account Manager, ThreeSixtyEight
Gerdau's careers experience lived on the job site of its applicant system, and it needed to do more. The brief asked for a site that shows Gerdau's values and its work on sustainability, speaks to a younger talent pool, and lets people see themselves at Gerdau before they ever read a job description. That meant real features, not just pages. Every opening had to show up as browsable job pages and stay in step with Gerdau's SAP SuccessFactors system, people had to search by area and by location, and a short quiz had to point an undecided visitor to the right part of the company.
ThreeSixtyEight handed us an art treatment of about a dozen page designs, and we agreed on one rule early: no page went into development before its design was approved. We built the site's foundations first, a style guide and component pages inside the Webflow project, then the pages on top of them. The job pieces came next. We built the job templates and the search on the view-all-jobs page, with filters for area, keyword and location, including a map-based "use my current location" search, all on job data that flows in from SuccessFactors. Then we built the career match quiz, the area pages and the early-career program pages, with the motion and tracking tags the design called for.

We worked through ThreeSixtyEight's internal reviews and then Gerdau's own rounds of QC, and the new site launched in summer 2023. Job seekers could now take the quiz, match with an area, and land on open roles near them. Soon after launch ThreeSixtyEight came back with a change request, and we kept going: search links that keep their filters, so a recruiter can share a search like IT jobs in Jackson, Tennessee as a single link.

More than three years later, careers.gerdau.com still runs on the Webflow project we built in 2023. The job pages keep turning over as roles open and close, with more than 150 of them in the sitemap the day we checked, each one sending applicants straight into Gerdau's SuccessFactors apply flow. ThreeSixtyEight has kept building on that foundation since, and the site still grows on the project we started.
