We built LABI's LA23 strategic plan site in Webflow for ThreeSixtyEight. Three years and a rename later, LA Driven still runs on it.

LABI, the Louisiana Association of Business and Industry, set out in 2023 to write LA23: a strategic plan to make Louisiana an economic leader in the South by 2030, built from statewide listening sessions, surveys and expert research. ThreeSixtyEight, a creative agency in Baton Rouge, is LABI's agency, and it brought Fri3nds in as its Webflow team. Our first job came early in 2023: a site on la23.org that explained the effort, invited Louisianans to take the survey and laid out the issues, live within weeks.
By August 2023 the plan itself was nearly ready, and LABI wanted to release it that fall with a website worthy of it. The plan is dense: four focus areas, a set of goals for 2030, the research method behind it, and a call for people to act. And it was still moving. At kickoff, the plan's cover art and parts of the content were still being finished, so the site had to be designed and built while the words were landing. ThreeSixtyEight set the milestones: art treatment approval within a week of kickoff, a dev site review in early September, launch right after.
The art treatment was led by Gabe Rimmerman, who has worked with us as a creative director, and it turned the plan into a road trip: "Where the Rubber Meets the Road", a call to take the wheel, and a page that scrolls south. Gabe walked LABI through it in a single meeting.
"Thanks again to Gabe for doing an incredible job leading us through the initial art treatment. This site is going to be fantastic, effective, AND beautiful. Golden."
— Taylor Fairbanks, Account Manager, ThreeSixtyEight
We built it in Webflow with a page for the plan's goals, a methodology page for the team behind it, and a Take Action page with resources and a form that lets people send the plan to their elected officials. The four focus areas got their own sections on the home page. Where LABI's PDFs were not ready yet, we built the buttons anyway so the files could drop in later without touching the layout. Before launch we recorded a walkthrough of the Webflow Editor, so the team could keep the site current on its own.

The strategic plan site went live on la23.org in September 2023, replacing the first LA23 site with the plan itself: the destination for 2030, the roadblocks to clear, and the steps people could take that day. Through the launch, ThreeSixtyEight kept LABI's feedback flowing on shared review boards and we worked through it page by page, on desktop and on phones.

In May 2024 LABI came back through ThreeSixtyEight. The plan now had a movement behind it, LA Driven, with its own logo, sponsors and a video. We updated the site in about a week: the new logo, the video on the home page, the sponsor logos, copy that ties the plan to LA Driven, and a move to a new domain, ladriven.org. The site LABI uses today is the same Webflow project we built in August 2023, now with an annual report section added on top.
