Who Six Five Media is and why they needed a new Webflow site

Six Five Media, part of Futurum, is an enterprise tech media brand. Its site is where podcasts, video series, virtual summits and event coverage all live, often from several host brands at once. That is a lot of content types for one marketing team to keep in order, and the team wanted to publish all of it without waiting on a developer. So we started with a full redesign and Webflow build of sixfivemedia.com. We aligned on goals in discovery, moved through wireframes and a homepage design, then built the site and moved it into Six Five's own Webflow workspace. About three months after discovery, Brittany Robinson gave the green light.

How we built a video CMS the team runs itself

A media team publishes every week, so the real deliverable was not the homepage. It was the CMS behind it. We structured content, video and events so the in-house team could publish on its own from day one, and we closed the build with Loom walkthroughs of each publishing flow instead of a thick manual. The handoff was built to be watched once and used every week.

The challenge: summit content from three host brands in one place

When Six Five's Decoded Summit came onto the calendar, Brittany and Alix came back to us. The summit needed a home before, during and after the event, and content from Futurum, Moor Insights and Six Five had to land in the right place. The obvious shortcut had already failed: the team had tried feeds and filters. So on one shared board we planned a dedicated summit CMS collection and hub, with speaker attribution across collections and content routed by host brand. We built it against the event date and walked the team through the before, during and after flow on Loom.

How we restructured series, events and SEO

The next time we sat down together, the content had outgrown the structure. Series were buried under events, even though Six Five wanted to spotlight them as a product. The team had also run its own site audit and found broken pages and missing canonical tags. We treated it as one restructure: Series and Events became separate, first-class sections, 404s got redirects, the canonical structure was fixed, cropped feature images were cleaned up, and the Content and Video page got a topic filter. Forms moved to HubSpot with a privacy opt-in, and every change went through staging before release.

"Right now it's buried, and it's definitely a product that we're trying to spotlight."

"We did a site audit, found a bunch of 404 pages, canonical structure missing."

How we built the Six Five Summit flow from registration to on-demand

Then came the Six Five Summit, with Fri3nds on a subscription. The summit had to feel like one experience on Six Five's own site, not three pages stitched together. We built a single flow with three states: pre-event, live and on-demand. A Goldcast magic-link cookie means a registered viewer can hit "Watch now" and go straight back in without registering again. We tested the full flow end to end and walked the team through each state on Loom, so the team knew exactly what viewers would see. After the event, the team gets a post-event carousel it controls from the CMS, with a simple switch for what shows.

  • 3 summit states in one flow: pre-event, live, on-demand
  • 2 first-class sections, Series and Events, instead of series buried under events

What changed for Six Five's team

The first thing that changed was who runs the site. The day after launch, Alix wrote in our shared channel about the CMS, and that message still sums up the partnership. The second change was trust. A rebuild became a summit build, then a restructure, then a subscription through their flagship summit. Six Five kept bringing us the next slice because the site we handed over was one the team actually wanted to use.

"btw guys i love this, the way you put the cms together is so clean and webflow is so intuitive thank you again!"
