Who Willa is and why it needed a creator airline page

Willa is an app that gets creators paid for their brand deals, fast. In 2022 Willa staged a stunt to match that promise: Willa Air, billed as The World's First Creator Airline, flying 12 creators from Los Angeles to Coachella Valley by private jet for a long weekend, for free. The campaign needed a page that sold the fantasy and sent creators to apply. RNR, the creative studio behind a series of campaign sites for Willa, designed it. We built it in Webflow.

The challenge: a short application window and a page that feels like a boarding pass

The campaign ran on a short clock. Applications were open for under two weeks, and creators moved up the list by sending payment requests through the Willa app, so every visit to the page also mattered to Willa's product. The page had to go live inside Willa's existing Webflow site, next to its everyday marketing pages, and still look like nothing else there: a ticket over video, an itinerary told like a flight plan, and one clear way to claim a seat.

How we built the Willa Air page in Webflow

We built the page from RNR's design, section by section. The hero runs a background video under a boarding-pass card with the departure, the destination and a price of free. The itinerary walks through the weekend in numbered steps, from a pre-flight lounge in Venice to a post-flight lounge after the return flight, with campaign photos set in curved pink frames. Below it sit an FAQ, a Destinations teaser with New York Fashion Week marked coming soon, and a last call to claim a seat that points to the application.

How Willa Air launched

The page went live under Willa's own domain for the application window, with the application and the campaign terms on their own pages. It stayed online long after the flight, into 2024, as a record of the stunt.

What came next for Willa

Willa Air was one of a series of campaign sites RNR made for Willa, from the creator airline to a free Tesla giveaway. The airline page showed the shape of that work: a big idea, a short window, and one page that had to carry it.
